  • Cabin at Sørre Garli – Kongle-stained panels contrast the colourful interior

In Beitostølen's cabin community Sørre Garli, which is located 950 metres above sea level with a view of Slettefjell, Mugnetind and Bitihorn, Vyrk has delivered interior solutions that create an interplay between natural materials and modern design expressions.

Vyrk has supplied smooth panels in varying dimensions for all rooms. The panel is stained in the colour Kongle (Cone), a shade that accentuates the wood's pattern while adding a calm background to the interior. The consistent use of the same surface treatment creates a spatial continuity throughout the cabin.

The muted wood panels form a neutral backdrop to the cabin's colourful furnishings and interior elements. This deliberate material contrast between the calm panelling and the lively interior elements gives the rooms both depth and character, while also highlighting the view of the surrounding mountains.
