The iconic and updated Trysil panel from Vyrk has found its place in the new Wood Hotel Bodø, a hotel project focused on natural materials and sustainability. Vyrk AS is proud to be a supplier for this magnificent project, and the delivery of the Trysil panel marks another step in Vyrk’s efforts to combine tradition with modern expression and sustainable solutions.

The prestigious Wood Hotel Bodø, which is part of the Strawberry chain, had its official opening in May this year. The hotel emphasizes wood, and the interior is characterized by natural materials that create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Trysilpanelets return

The Trysil panel has been used in large parts of the hotel and has made an exciting comeback in the market. The former Sustainability Panel is now known as the Trysil panel to reclaim a strong tradition and history from Trysil. The name carries with it a story from Vyrk’s division in Trysil, which has over 60 years of experience in producing quality products with premium veneer. After some major upgrades in collaboration with architects and Innovation Norway, Vyrk set out to create the most sustainable panel on the market.

“‘Being able to use the Trysil panel in a spectacular construction project like Wood Hotel, where wood and sustainability are at the forefront, was truly spot on. We are very pleased to be part of a project that shares our views and passion for eco-friendly wood solutions,’ says Steinar Lyseng, CEO of Vyrk.”

Panel with a circular system

Trysilpanelets circular system, with a unique return system, allows the panel to essentially last forever. This not only helps reduce the need for logging and environmental disruption but also aids in carbon sequestration throughout its usage period. The panel is installed with a flexible clip and rail system, making it easy to take down and put up as needed, or it can be produced with tongue and groove, depending on the project’s requirements. The panel has been clearly modernized from the older version, providing a unique and exclusive expression with quality veneer in various wood species and stain colors.

A tribute to tradition, innovation, and sustainability.

Wood Hotel Bodø, with builder Arthur Buchardt at the forefront, has become a truly wonderful project. The hotel is inspired by nature, using sustainable materials combined with modern design.

‘We are currently working on many projects, several of which involve wood. This is with a focus on locally sourced, Norwegian, and sustainable materials that help reduce CO2. Vyrk has a bright future ahead, and the sum of this is solid wood, creating both the desire and confidence to move forward,’ says builder Arthur Buchardt.

By choosing the Trysil panel, you are not only selecting an aesthetically beautiful and functional product but also a symbol of tradition, quality, and sustainability. Vyrk is proud to offer this product to Wood Hotel Bodø and to the construction industry at large.
